How VROOOMS Race Rooms Work

VROOOMS Race Rooms are the only place on the internet where you race your actual internet speed against a real connection from somewhere else in the world.

Before you join a room, we take a quick measurement of your download speed. Then we sort you into your connection class — so you are always competing on equal terms. A 15 Mbps cable connection does not race a 900 Mbps fiber line. You race your class.

There are five connection classes:

  • Copper League: 0–15 Mbps — Entry-level connections. Every millisecond counts.
  • Cable Circuit: 15–50 Mbps — Standard cable performance. Close racing.
  • Fibre Sprint: 50–200 Mbps — Fast fiber territory. Speed advantages narrow.
  • Gigabit Grand Prix: 200–600 Mbps — High-performance tier. The upper league.
  • Hyperlane Invitational: 600 Mbps+ — Beyond gigabit. The fastest connections on earth.

No time penalties for your plan. Your class is your division.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to create an account to join a race room?

No account or signup required. Run a quick speed measurement, and VROOOMS will match you to the right room automatically based on your connection class.

How does VROOOMS match me with other racers?

VROOOMS measures your download speed and places you in the appropriate connection class (Copper League, Cable Circuit, Fibre Sprint, Gigabit Grand Prix, or Hyperlane Invitational). You are matched with other connections in the same class, so races are competitive regardless of your plan.

What happens if no one is in my race room?

If no live opponent is currently in your class, VROOOMS will show you the current waiters count and connect you as soon as another racer in your class joins.
